Trò chơi nổ chai VIP#NowPH is a youth-led campaign calling on countries to act on climate change issues, urging particularly the youth to contribute to the prevention of global warming from reaching two degrees Celsius. The National Youth Commission (NYC) and the Climate Change Commission (CCC) spearheaded this awareness drive on climate change. It became a collaboration of different agencies, namely the Embassy of France, USAID, YesPinoy Foundation, Friedrich Naumannn Foundation, and Rappler. The campaign is supported by Filipino icons, known in fields such as television and film, environmentalism, peace-building, music, among others.
Utilizing digital and on-the-ground strategies, the campaign generated 221 million social media interactions and raised public consciousness on the science of climate change and on ways to lead a climate-resilient and climate-smart lifestyle through Top 10 Youth-led Climate Actions, which are practical and youth–driven climate actions.
Further institutionalizing the campaign was the issuance of Proclamation No. 1160, series 2015, declaring every November 25 as the National Day for Youth in Climate Action.
